Loading Paper into the Large Capacity Tray

This section describes how to load paper into the LCT.

Important

  • The LCT uses 81/2 × 11Portrait paper exclusively. If you want to load A4Portrait or B5 JISPortrait, contact your service representative.

  • The optional Extension Unit is required to load B4 JISLandscape, A4Landscape, 81/2 × 14Landscape or 81/2 × 11Landscape.

  • Align the paper neatly and press its edge to the right and left plate. Poorly loaded paper causes misfeeds.

  • Check the paper edges are aligned at the left side.

  • Do not stack paper over the limit mark.

1Open the top cover of the LCT.

2Load paper into the tray along the edge on the left.

Load the paper print side up.

3Press the [Down] key.

The key blinks while the bottom plate is moving down.

4Load paper by repeating steps 1 and 2.

5Close the top cover of the LCT.

Note

  • The tray can hold up to 4,000 sheets.
